Apples for the most part weathered the tropical storm this past Sunday well. There was minor fruit drop - the key now is to determine if there was enough bruising to affect fruit quality later on; however, right now things look good. Peaches didn't fare quite so well with fruit that was ripe or nearly ripe suffering significant drop. A few growers offered those drops at reduced prices for canning and preserves.

Welcome to the UNHCE Agriculture Resources Blog

Hi all -- Here's a way for us to get our feet wet and learn a little more about blogs and how they might be useful in our work.  I've set this up as a way for all of us to communicate, and share information and resources.  While there are times it is simpler to pick up the phone or email, I hope you'll visit here often (or set up an RSS feed so new info goes into your email inbox) for updates and PLEASE post information as well.

This is set up so that you can post and comment all you like!   Feel free to play around some and don't worry about getting things perfect.  This is really meant as a learning tool for all of us.  Happy Blogging.
